I’d really like to see hubpsot allow users to track deal commissions/compensation.
A simple approach is to have this as a property, either percentage or $$ input, on individual deals. This could then lead to a total compensation figure shown next to the user’s name/profile on the super admin’s account. If not shown there, it could appear in a report run by the super admin.
I am curious if you were able to advance your progress on this matter. I am a HubSpot user myself and would love to track sales rep commissions to the point of being able to compensate directly from calculations made on paid invoices and deals owned.
For us we needed a way to track which sales commissions had been paid out. We just created a custom field with YES/NO radio button and then created a workflow to be able to assign those users to it once it had been paid.
Quite hard to do so in Hubspot directly. You’ll have to go through other tools like Palette. It integrates with Hubspot and you can define your commission structure there.
I am having the same issue with my team. HubSpot should create conditions-based commission as well because companies have different commission levels based on multiple criteria. Setting multiple conditions or a workflow with calculation properties (i.e., commission calculations) can make your operations and sales teams run smoother.
I agree! Multiple conditions would be optimal as different products commission at different rates for different sales reps.
We implemented many solutions leveraging a variety of: new properties we created in HS as calculation properties each working together to then inform into additional calculation properties property that we use to report on. However complex this sounds its actually pretty simple when building together with some of the out of the box revenue properties already in the system and then workflows(if on marketing pro) to notify users based on the data points OR in reports which we inlcluded the data points.
