I have a brand new email address, I try to sign up using this new email address, I reach the stage when Hubspot sends an email that should provide the PIN to verify, but instead of the PIN I get this:
Looks like you already have an account
We couldn’t create a new HubSpot account because there’s already an account with your email address.Log in to access your existing account. You can reset the password if you need to. After you have logged in, you can also create a new account using this email address if you’d prefer.
I absolutely do not have an account and when I try to play along and “Reset the password”, Hubspot of course cannot find an account under that email.
Is Hubspot falling apart? Yes this is the second issue i posted today because I am trying to correct some longstanding issues, but the admin infrastructure seems fundamentally broken and of course Hubspot no longer has any customer support.
Is there a chance that maybe someone else created a HubSpot account with a different email than yours? That might be the cause of you not being able to create another HubSpot account with the same email domain, but a different email address. You can create a HubSpot account with a Gmail address though and then add your other email address to it, but you might not be able to configure your main domain to it later on (but you would be able to add your email address as a user).
Thank you for your reply. No, there is no chance because the email is newly created. I administer the websites, Hubspot and email provision. The workaround you suggested will not work because I need domain control.
We are having the same problem. We’re a small company and we use first names for email, mine is “steve@domain”. We are onboarding a new employee and “john@domain” was previously added to HubSpot several years ago, their account deactivated and removed. With the same email address, the new employee tried to login and of course they could not login because 2FA was set up from that previous user. I am Super Admin (with an Enterprise account) and logged in as the user and all the previous users information and settings were still there. I am assuming that adding the new user with the same email address simply re-activated the old user account. Is it possible to use the same email “john@domain” but create a new user? Or How can you delete all the previous data?
