Campaign response data

Hello,

I wanted to see if any fellow HubSpot admins/users have ever built a campaign response history object or something similar to track contacts that have “responded” to a campaign via form fill or registration - classifying them as either leads or MQLs, along with response date.

I’ve started using associated campaigns feature, however, I’m unable too create a custom report on influence type labels - just on the “manually associated contacts” asset association (contact - campaign). The only way I can see the campaign association influence type or label is in the CRM contacts using filters.

I would like to mimic what Salesforce does with campaign response history - logging campaign name, date of response, and type of response, line by line in a contact record that can be on a custom report.

Anyone achieve this? And if so, what did you do? Many thanks!

-Tiffany

You may be able to repurpose the marketing events record for this. Fairly limited. The challenge with using a custom object is that the Campaign object does not allow custom associations.

To really build out this functionality, with the features and depth you’re describing, you’d need multiple custom objects.

I’m curious about the why behind this request. Is there a specific outcome/view that you’re seeking? Can that outcome be achieved without building customization in the process? Perhaps a combination of data sets and/or custom reporting?

Hi Derek, Thanks for responding.

I agree, if this is something that I can achieve without custom objects and by datasets or reports, that would be ideal.

I basically want to pull a report of contacts with an associated campaign (which is achievable) AND by influence type. I can only see this in the CRM - Contacts advanced filters. The screengrab below shows a contact search, advanced filters by associated campaign (Contact → Campaigns). The first two columns show the influence types (the exact wording is cut off). Thus, I want to run a report of any campaign that have the influence type of those only in the first column, for example, with a date stamp. Does that make sense? Thanks!
