Calendar Functionality in Reports

I am trying to create a report to compare the number of people (deals in our setup) that are on service with us each month. I have created that report to show that number in real time but would like to be able to see how that number compares month to month (i.e. Jan 2022 vs May 2022). Any suggestions on how to set up this comparision?
