I am having an issue with formatting within a HubSpot blog post. I copied and pasted a blog post (from a word document) and hyperlinked text and pasted it into a new page within HubSpot Blog. The hyperlinked text creates a lot of space in between the hyperlinked text and regular text. I also attempted to strip the text of any formatting before pasting it into the page and hyperlinking within the page itself. It is still giving me a lot of issues. Does anyone else have this issue and found a resolve?
Hi @SAldrich,
My recommendation is to paste into the website page without the Word Document formatting. The “code” that Word creates behind the scenes doesn’t always play well with website HTML. You can paste into notepad first or paste it into the website and click the Clear Formatting button (It looks like a T with a little x after it) after highlighting your text. Once that’s done you can relink your hyperlink.
Hope this helps!
Josh
Sorry, I should have clarified that I did clear all the formatting within Notepad. It continues to create spacing even when pasting text (without) any formatting and adding the hyperlinks manually within a new HubSpot Blog Page.
Does this happen for every link, or only this particular one? Potentially
there’s a CSS reference that’s causing the issue.
It’s occurring with every link - internal and external links.
I’m not sure if you are familiar with CSS at all, but I would suggest
finding that reference in your CSS file and update from there.
