I see someone already asked this about a year ago with no reply. I have the same question, so I’ll also ask it…
Is it possible to automatically set files that are uploaded through a form to ‘public’? Currently, all form-submitted files/images default to ‘private’ and must be manually set to public before they can be viewed on a web page or in an email.
I’m creatiing a Member Dashboard where members can upload their logo and an image to be shown on a profile page. It would be great if when they did, that new image or logo could appear on their profile page without an admin having to manually set it to public.
I haven’t found a way to achieve this with a workflow.
It’s my understanding you’d like the files uploaded through forms to be automatically set as public or the ability to set this as a default for certain forms. Unfortunately, I can confirm this is not currently possible as they will default to being private and the only option to change the visibility is through the File Manager or directly through the contact record associated with the uploaded file.
