Assign contacts to specific Salesforce users

Hi all,

Right now, new contacts created in HubSpot (Marketing Professional) are assigned to one of Salesforce users that are synced to HS. We have dozens of SF users but only a couple of SDRs which contacts should be assigned to. Right now, HS is assigning users to admins, execs or IT users too.

Is there a way for me to either:

1. Use the Salesforce round-robin rule when assigning owners to contacts; or

2. Select only specific SF contacts in HS to be assigned to; or

3. Remove owner assignment in HS altogether, sync the contacts to SF and then SF assigns them an owner.

We use Marketing Professional and don’t use HS CRM.

Thanks!

Thank you for posting in our Community @FFayzullaev!

I want to share this knowledge base with more information about the integration and invite our top experts to this conversation, @bradmin @franksteiner79 any recommendations for the @FFayzullaev matter?

Thank you,

Pam

@FFayzullaev Typically, HubSpot assigns unowned records to the integration user whenever HubSpot and Salesforce are integrated, and an owner is not specified manually or via a Workflow. This happens because HubSpot creates the record in Salesforce as the integration user. So, if an owner isn’t specified, the user connecting the accounts is set as the owner.

You have a few assignment options:

- Manage round-robin lead assignment in HubSpot using a “Rotate Owner” Workflow Action

- Use a 3rd party app in Salesforce for Round Robin Assignment

- Use criteria-based assignment in HubSpot (Workflow) or Salesforce (Flow or Lead Assignment Criteria)

Here’s a blog outlining your options!
