We’re excited to share that we have a public beta coming very soon that will allow you to manually record external payments directly within HubSpot without needing to be enrolled in HubSpot Payments or connected to a Stripe account.
This means your team can track cash, check, wire, and other offline payments as payment records in HubSpot associated to quotes, invoices, contacts, companies or deals, giving you a complete and accurate view of revenue right alongside your CRM data. No payment processor enrollment required.
You’ll be able to record external payments a few different ways: from Commerce > Payments, directly from CRM records using the Payments CRM card, via bulk import, or through Workflows using the Create Records action.
One thing worth flagging: during the public beta, customers not enrolled in HubSpot Payments or Stripe will not be able to create custom reports using the Payment object. Custom reporting on the Payment object will be reenabled once the public beta ends.
NOTE: this enhancement doesn’t change the fact invoices still require an email address.
