Allow Deal Record Customization Permissions

I contacted support on an issue I had with changes I made to deals left side bar via record customization that were not showing on deal records/forms. I learned that I had to ‘restore to default’ and that users could change the properties shown on the left sidebar independent of the global settings. Further, you couldn’t control these permissions to prevent users form changing properties showing up on a record.

As an admin, it would be helpful to have global settings that are consistent across users profiles so that all users can see the key properities for a deal record. If users have control to change what they see on a record they might make unintentional changes and have trouble with updating this section.

I think it would be reasonable to enable permissions that don’t allow users to customize/personalize deal records.

Currently having the same issue, very thankful for this post.

@cbunn once you restored to default settings, were you then able to update the sidebar details/order to what you wanted?

We are a small shop so not overly concerned at the moment with folks making their views, as I wouldn’t broadcast that as an option. BUT control of that in the future would be helpful so folks don’t remove pertinent information from their view of the records.
