Would be great to add attchements to quotes. Some of our quotes require signatures on multiple pages. The current quote creation in hubspot handles 75% of what we need. Then we have to save it as a PDF, upload to docusign with the other docs needed to be signed, then resave the executed copy in hubspot. Would be great to do everything through hubspot.
Also, we like to send out colateral with quotes and are unable to do this inside hubspot quotes.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve spent days trying to figure out how to include basic things like an NDA to the quote, all in the same workflow. That way the customer opens the quote in their email, sees the quote, sees the NDA, and e-signs all of it. HubSpot says the only thing right now is to keep using Docusign, PandaDoc, etc., which just seems silly.
I am in the nutraceutical business and we deal with a lot of documents like specification sheets, Certificate of analysis, and other product documents. When my team is trying to quote our customer, there is no easy way to attach a document/s while creating a quote. I know about adding the document and creating a link and inserting that link in the quotes comments section but that takes too much time. I hope the hubspot developers are able to make this happen sooner than later! Thank you!
This is a frustration for us too. Appreciate we could upload docs and create links each time but it just adds a lot of extra steps. Adding an attachment would be so much simpler.
Having everying connected in the quote itself would be very beneficial. We need to make sure we provide 3 different additional documents with each quote and the goal is to make things simple and easy for our growth/sales team and yet it isn’t. I have read over the other tricks of uploading the document into the libary as a PDF and then adding the link into the quote in the comments section but the next wall we hit is that when you go to create the link for the document, you have to now add the individuals email address. The documents are trying to attach or not specific to just one person or company as they are universal docs, so we would like to be able to just have a simplified way of attaching things.
@JHolt8 you could create an issue-status and issue-date properties as Deal properties and reference them wherever you need them in the template.
@YEakman, I don’t fully understand what you meen with having to add the individual email address. Adding a link in the commets sections is just as simple as clicking on the chain icon. Nevertheless, since the documents are universal docs, I guess you could just add them to the template itself.
I still believe the hability to attach external documents would be much better (specially if you plan on directly sending the quote via email directly from hubspot) but, in the meantime, this should serve as a way to get by.
I will need to attach customer Terms and conditions for each quote that are
4-8 pages long … not sure how “properties” will help as each attached
document will be unique
@GManuelian, are those Terms & Conditions different for each quote, or just certain parameters are changed (payment schedule, conditions of return, etc), or is each document completely unique? If it’s the latter and never repeating, I’m out of ideas; otherwise, you could reuse the main text adding the specific properties in the template, whereever you need it.
Thanks for the great ideas, everyone. Happy to mark this request as delivered! We’ve added the ability to add attachments to quotes as part of HubSpot’s CPQ tools. Try it out and let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions for further improvement.
