Activity Data transfer to Contact Properties

Hi There,

I would like to sync or copy data that is included in a contacts activity feed into their contact properties.

I have a response from a SurveyMonkey survey within the activity feed of a contact. I then want to save the response into the contacts propoerties. We ask what football team they supported and we now want to save their choice in their properties. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, as of now, this does not seem to be possible with the HubSpot SurveyMonkey integration: Use HubSpot's integration with SurveyMonkey

“Responses will not update contact properties, but they will appear on the contact timeline.”

You would have to look into third-party automation, e.g. Zapier: Use HubSpot's integration with Zapier (retrieve SurveyMonkey response value, update contact record in HubSpot).

Thanks for getting back to me. I had seen the page you have linked to. If we can forget the data is from SurveyMonkey, is there a way to take information from a contacts activity and save it in the contacts properties?

@LFoxKapitol not that I know of / not without custom code workflow actions based on the HubSpot API.

Can I ask why you want to copy that information? To the best of my knowledge you can use SurveyMonkey responses in list filters, which opens up a whole range of possibilities for further use in HubSpot.

Hey Frank,

I was able to add the survey response filter to my original list, that filters “if football team is known”, but I was then unable to add a column to the list that showed the specific response from SurveyMonkey.

I thought that if I could add the new SurveyMonkey responses, which football team they support, to the contact property I already have in place, as per the list above, it would update and combine my exsisting data and new SurveyResponse data.

I’m new to HubSpot so trying to understand what I need to do to get the results I’m after.
