Ability to add modules to Knowledge Base templates

Status: Idea Submitted

Adding the ability for customers to edit the modules featured on their Knowledge Base templates would greatly improve the customization options and better optimize the pages for SEO.

I believe this is a much needed improvement. It appears this was an option at some point in time, through the ability to edit knowledge base template code to add new sections or editable modules, but appears to no longer be an option as the only customization is now limited to style changes or updates to the header and footer. You’re not able to add new content in these areas, just edit existing content.

It would be super helpful to be able to add new blocks or modules in specific knowledge base pages - eg: a ‘call to action’ or informational block right underneat the article content, but above things like related articles, feedback & the global footer. For example, a CTA to direct customers to more in-depth support options - we could edit one instance of a block/module instead of having to update hundreds of individual knowledge base articles with new inforamtion.
