Expense and ROI Tracking

SOLVE

Hey community,

Does anyone know if there is a way in HubSpot (or a third party app that is great) to track client/customer expenses? Looking for things like sending gifts, registration fees for a fundraiser, etc. Also looking for tracking on ROI and financial investments into client/customer partnerships. Thank you!

Expense and ROI Tracking

SOLVE

@EHopkins - What HubSpot subscription do you have?

If enterprise, would it be viable to create a custom object 'Expenses' with properties to capture:

- Amount
- Type
- Date

(Plus anything else you'd like to use for reporting purposes)

Calculated company properties could then:

- look to the associated expenses records to sum up the total amount
- subtract the value in the above calcualtion property from the standard company property 'Total revenue' to give you the ROI at a company level

The same approach could be used to give you the ROI on a deal level.

If professional, the above process could be used but utilising the deal or ticket objects with a 'Type' property to set the deal/ticket record as an expense record.
