It would be really useful to turn off click tracking in emails, particularly automated emails, in the marketing component. We get a lot of complaints about the appearance of links in emails like password resets, invoices, etc., with customers often contacting our support to verify if an email is real before clicking on it. As we don't need tracking on the emails, the ability to display a simple URL would be useful.
Thank you for the feedback. This is very valuable insight. While it is not planned we will review with team. For transparency sake as it is not planned for next quarter, i will leave it as not planned for now and update this thread when we have more to share.
Also need this, we are trying to use personalization tokens in urls to integrate with a third party referral software. It works if the link with token is showing, but once we try to put it behind text or image/button the link renders completely differently, I believe due to click tracking. Is there a code we can use to disable this per link?

It would be great to be able to customise tracking links so that they do not appear like a large chunk of text in the plain text version of the email. We would really benefit from being able to decide which links we would like to be tracked.
I just noticed this and agree. It's very unprofessional to send links that look very suspicious to our clients. From an IT security perspective, it looks like a malware link. We have now stopped using tracking on all emails and wonder if there is a timeline for a fix to this issue
Would like to add to this. Due to recent development in cyber-crimes, sending these kind of links are a no-go for us and we have to disable link tracking. However, we would like to keep "email open tracking". That is not an option now, unfortunately.
This would be very useful! Our industry is also heavily regulated. Our recipients are trained to hover over links. Having the option to disable link tracking in Marketing emails would be super helpful!
We are facing the same issue, where appending the tracking code breaks the original link's functionality as the landing platform (Microsoft Office 365) does not support altered links. We need to be able to track link clicks in our other emails, so disabling link tracking in general is not an option. Being able to enable/disable this on a per email basis seems like a pretty essential feature.
I would like to disable disable click tracking on my sales automated e-mail. Due to this I have a very low open rate compare to other software like apollo.io
Commenting on behalf of a customer. This feature is much needed for a variety of reasons already mentioned but for this customer's particular use case: They wish to use both universal links and click tracking together which is not possible as apps cannot parse these link tracking URLs and won't redirect the way a browser does.
For the aforementioned native app deep-linking issues and IT security/vanity URL concerns, I would also like to see the click/link tracking setting configurable on a per-email basis. We are forced to use a second email provider for the sole purpose of these automated native login emails due to this restriction as we cannot afford to globally disable tracking for all emails.
+1 to all of the above. inability to turn off the link tracking (and keep opens tracking) caused us to have to switch to MailTracking from Hunter: https://hunter.io/mailtracker
I figured out a small hack for my application. If you remove the https from a link in your email then hubspot does not add a unique tracking link to your original.
