Hi everyone!
Has anyone been able to create a countdown widget that could be placed on a landing page or in emails?
We're hosting an event and would like to show a countdown to various deadlines.
I've been able to do it before using Javascript but I was wondering if there was a better way.
Thanks!

Hey @LCSKMiller,
Currently using JS would be the easiest way to achieve this.
If for any reason you cannot use a script to do this I have found a pure css one created online here:

However, there is probably more work behind this than there would be a simply JS count down timer.

I just came across this tool for a countdown timer: https://countdownmail.com/
It's pretty cheap, and has an amazing out of customization. I've tested in Outlook, Gmail, and Hotmail, on mobile and desktop, and it works perfectly.

This looks like a great solution. Do you just copy and paste in the code and it works and can you send a link to an email that was made in Hubspot or screenshot how you placed in the code? Thanks - JD

You can use https://timergif.com/ as well. It's super easy to use and has a free option. Here is an example:

Hi. This is a great free solution, thank you! How can I manipulate the HTML to make the image size responsive please for emails? It's currently extending beyond the frame of the email.
Here's the html:

I use the https://promofeatures.com/ service in it, you can create timers for both the web site and email.

We actually ended up going with a third party and it worked great! Except for Outlook because Outlook = problem child.
It was called Motionmail and there are free or paid options

Hi Tom,
I would like to also add a countdown timer to an event landing page but absolutely have no idea on how to do this. The countdown is to the upcoming GDPR date, 25th May and would like to add this to the event landing page. https://info.infinigate.co.uk/gdpr-partner-forum-deadline-day-and-beyond#register-form
Is there a Hubspot article guide that explains how to do this or a way to help?
Thank you.
Hanie

Hey @Hanie as per my comment above, there is no HubSpot module to do this. You would need to do this through a custom module using Javascript.

Hi again @Tom,
Thanks for the prompt response. My question was more about if there is a way for someone in Hubspot to help with adding the javascript element but I suppose I will try to figure it out myself.
Kind regards,
Hanie
