Q: I'm a new HubSpot developer. Where do I start?

Short A: You're in the right place.

Longer A:

A HubSpot Developer is someone who builds some or all of the following.
- HubSpot CMS custom page templates and websites.
- HubSpot custom email templates.
- Applications that integrate directly with HubSpot client portals via the HubSpot API.

HubSpot offers the following public-facing tools to help facilitate the development process on the HubSpot platform and to engage with the community of inbound sales and marketing professionals from around the world.

- HubSpot Developer Account - Your HubSpot developer account is used to identify you as a developer across one or more HubSpot portals and in the HubSpot Developers Forum. Your journey as a HubSpot developer starts here.
- see (image below) https://app.hubspot.com/signup/developers/step/join-hubspot

Note: You may wish to have open this account with your personal email address (not your company address). You'll need to create this account before continuing.

- HubSpot Developers Forum - The HubSpot Developers Forum is the online community where HubSpot developers go to ask and answer questions, share ideas, and engage the HubSpot Developer Support Team.
- see (image below) https://integrate.hubspot.com/

- HubSpot Test Portals - Test portals can be used to test your application integration without it affecting the data in your HubSpot production account. Test portals function similarly to HubSpot Marketing Trials, so those test portals give you access to most of the marketing tools in addition to the option to enable the CRM/Sales tools -- an excellent resource to use during certification training.
