Hi,
We currently are using the CMS members login, and these are all external users from a variety of companies. We want to use, in addition to this, a custom backend. We want the users to have the same login for both.
I understand I may be able to use SSO for this (SSO for Memberships - HubSpot docs). My questions are:
1. Is my assumption correct?
2. Will switching to SSO impact their current logins (i.e. do we need send them new logins or anything?)
Thanks
Hi @MrNiamh
Your ideation is correct, implementing HubSpot SSO is a suitable approach to provide a unified login experience for external users accessing both the CMS members login and your custom backend.
By leveraging SSO, you can streamline the login process through a central identity provider (IdP) like Okta, Azure AD, or any SAML 2.0 compliant IdP.
This way, users only need to authenticate once with the IdP, eliminating the need for separate logins to
HubSpot CMS and your custom backend, providing a seamless and efficient experience.
Implementing SSO won’t immediately affect existing user logins, but proper configuration is essential to ensure a seamless transition and maintain secure access for all users.
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
Brilliant - thanks for confirming.
