Hi
Does anyone know about using HubSpot’s login/membership functionality for SSO with an external app.
Basic flow we’re looking for is:
User logs in/creates account on HubSpot CMS > Get redirected into 3rd party application bypassing login
Thanks for any pointers.

Hey @JWright76, getting back to you on this!
While HubSpot’s membership features don’t natively support SSO to external third-party applications in quite the way you described, there are some promising options you can consider:
For HubSpot memberships:
- SSO for Memberships (CMS Hub Enterprise): This lets you use external identity providers like Okta or OneLogin to authenticate users for HubSpot’s private content. However, this setup mainly works for logging into HubSpot, not from HubSpot to another app.
- Social logins: With the membership_social_logins module, users can sign in to HubSpot membership pages using their Google or Facebook accounts.
If you want users to move from HubSpot to an external app:
- The current alternative is the OpenID Connect (OIDC) standard, which opens up some custom solutions.
- Typically, this would involve creating a custom integration, where your app would validate the user’s HubSpot session (using HubSpot APIs), and then handle authentication when redirecting to your external application.
A custom solution like this would require some development work, but it’s definitely possible!

I hope this helps!
