Hello everyone! We actually operate with prestashop and in our platform users can mark products as “interests”. We would like to use Hubspot in order to notify said users in case one of those “interests” has been re-stocked or the price has been discounted. So far we thought about creating a special pipeline stage “interest” where we would create deals with one unique product, mimicking the interest section in our site, but we cannot figure out how to trigger workflows on a product’s stock/price change. We have Operation Hubs so we can use custom codes if that helps. Did anyone come with a similar problem or knows how to trigger said workflows? Thanks for your time!

Hi @MMarugan , I would personally create a custom object where you create a record for every type of product a contact can be interested in. That custom object would then have a property called ‘stock’ which you can use to trigger a workflow / e-mail. If a contact marks a product as ‘interests’ you need to associate that product (custom object record) with the contact (you would need some kind of hook). That way, you can send an e-mail to all associated contacts for a specific product.

I see, so you are implying not using the product library as a workflow trigger, but instead create a custom object for each product, essentially cloning the product library so that we can have “interest” based workflows right? That might work, thanks!

So are you saying that if, for example, a compnay had 1,000 different products, that they would need to create a custom object and a cusotm record, for each of the 1,000 prodcuts?

Yes! That’s exactly my suggestion. Should save a lot of time and you do not need any ‘hacky’ solutions.
