We have been using the Contacts API for years to submit our form data to hubspot contact records. From what I’m reading, there isn’t a way to send the hubspotutk through this API. Is that true? If that’s only possible with the Forms API, are there major differences in how the two APIs update/create contact records? We don’t want to disrupt current functionality for our customers.
I want to create contacts as well but I don’t want to use hubspot forms on my website. If I understand properly I still have to create a form on hubspot side to use the api.hsforms.com and be able to send the “HubSpot usertoken”, I find it a bit of a pain though, shouldn’t the classic api be able to parse the “Hutk”?
It is not possible to pass hubspotutk cookie token values through the Contacts API. This API is designed for offline contacts and does not support lead tracking, per this article.
