API v3 Contact/Company merged Date

Hello,

When I merge contact A with contact B, I think contact B’s lastmodifieddate should be updated, but the lastmodifieddate is not changing. Therefore, I cannot access merged records using the v3 API search endpoint. Is there an endpoint or method to retrieve merged records within a specific date range?

Hi @MAKIN,

For this, I think you could build your own workaround. When a record is merged, the property Merged Contact IDs is updated. So your process could look something like this:

  • Create a custom date property
  • Create a workflow that enrolls that record when Merged Contact IDs is updated (and is set to reenroll contacts if it’s updated again). Set the workflow action to stamp the date that the contact enters that workflow. This will ensure every time a merge happens it will track the date.
  • Use search API to look for that custom property
