My From has been disabled on my website and I keep getting the below messages when editing my form:
“You can’t edit or create forms right now. Your forms tool access has been suspended while we carry out some checks.”
I think it is because apparently it breaches Hubspot rules not to ask for usernames or passwords, however I am not asking anyone to submit any username or password for anything but actually to choose a username or password so we can create an account on our work system for them to access. It has worked fine for nearly two years and now it’s causing this issue.
Unfortunately what you are asking for is still not allowed. While data is submitted via SSL, the form password data is not encrypted at the time of submission and the passwords are stored in your Hubspot database as plain text. That is a huge security risk to store passwords in plain text in a database because in the wrong hands, someone could try those passwords on other sites, etc. If you are trying to get someone to sign up for an app or service the preferred method is to build a custom form and post the user data to Hubspot and the secure data to your secure server where you setup someone’s account.
Wanted to inform you that it is a violation of our Terms of Service to store usernames and passwords in their CRM and users should not be asking for this information in a HubSpot form.
We understand that you are asking for a username/password for your own services and not for a third party, but our decision still stands. We continually update our platform to enforce our Terms of Service, and we will programmatically detect these sorts of violations going forward. If users attempt to publish the form again still asking for username/passwords, our team will review the content again and it’s possible to lose access to the tool again.
Hello @jkpp Once you fill out the form linked within your account, a member of the HubSpot Team will review the submission within 1-3 business days. Once a decision has been reached, you’ll see an update in your account and the POC on file will receive an email informing you of the outcome.
