Hello,
Some emails are being added to the wrong deals.
I have attached a picture.
Hello @NBuitrago
We can see from the Activity > Email tab, that many of the emails are being associated with various contacts.
It is likely that the original sender of the first email had enabled automatic logging of emails via the HubSpot Gmail Sales Extension, which would select all the deals that the contact is associated with.
Therefore since the first email was already logged to all the deals associated with the contacts that were sent the email, the subsequent replies would also automatically be logged to the deals selected in the initial send.
I would recommend moving forward for any emails sent out to be manually checked on whether the email would be logged to the correct deal, and not just all deals.
Right now, if you would like for the emails to not be logged anymore to this deal, you would have to uncheck this deal from the associations of the email.
I hope this information helps.
Pam
Hi @NBuitrago,
In addition to what @PamCotton has shared, activities with the object or origin being the company or contact will automatically be associated with the five most recent associated open deals: Associate activities with records
If a call, one-to-one email, meeting, note, task, postal mail, LinkedIn, SMS, or WhatsApp message is first logged on a company record, it will be automatically associated with the company’s five most recent associated open deals (i.e., deals that are not in closed-won or closed-lost deal stages).
If a call, one-to-one email, meeting, note, task, postal mail, LinkedIn, SMS, or WhatsApp message is first logged on a contact record, it will be automatically associated with the contact’s primary company and the five most recent associated open deals (i.e., deals that are not in closed-won or closed-lost deal stages).
Regardless of the cause, this happens sometimes. HubSpot’s automatic mechanisms aren’t perfect. You can however easily update the association by following these steps: Associate activities with records
Best regards!
