I created a workflow that previews the users wh requested a sample through a form and sends to them 4 automated emails in 4 different periods the last email in the workflow is a follow up email sent only to contacts with life cycle stage is none of customers. I find out that some contacts receives the follow up email although the deal is already closed won. I thought maybe i should add and condition that deal stage is also closed won to send the email but i found out that all contacts with life cycle stage customer their associated deal is closed won too
Hi @HSalah,
Is this a contact based or a deal based workflow?
In both cases, you would have to specify unenrollment or goal criteria (= deal is won), see here: Set unenrollment triggers in workflows
Once a record meets the unenrollment criteria, they would be ejected from the workflow.
Best regards
@karstenkoehler When i create the workflow goal unenrollment trigger (stage = closed won) the future contacts with atleast one associated deal closed one property will be ejected. what if a customer submitted the form more than once and i want the first three emails to be sent to him again
@HSalah that’s why I was asking if this was a deal-based workflow – if it was, you could unenroll the deal from the workflow that sends automated emails once it’s closed.
If it’s contact-based, you could further limit unenrollment by a deal closing in a certain date range (closed won + close date is less than x days ago).
The issue might be that the lifecycle stage doesn’t always update automatically when a deal moves to Closed Won—it depends on how your workflow or settings are configured. You could add a condition in the workflow that checks if any associated deal is Closed Won, just to be safe. That way, the follow-up email only goes to folks who truly haven’t become customers yet.
