Hi community!
Just trying to find any workarounds to get HubSpot tracking code on Squarespace without needing to upgrade Squarespace from the basic plan to core. Any ideas?

Hey @CarolinaDM26!
Great question, and you’re definitely not alone in running into this one!
The short answer is that Squarespace’s Basic plan doesn’t allow custom code injection, which is what’s needed to add the HubSpot tracking script. That said, here are a few workarounds worth exploring depending on your setup:
1. Use Google Tag Manager (GTM) via a Squarespace-supported integration
Squarespace’s Basic plan does have a native Google Analytics integration. If you can get GTM firing through that pathway, you could potentially deploy the HubSpot tracking code through a GTM container, though this is a bit roundabout and may have limitations.
2. Use HubSpot-hosted landing pages instead
If your goal is to capture leads and track behavior, you could direct traffic to HubSpot-hosted landing pages (available on most HubSpot tiers) rather than Squarespace pages, keeping the tracking entirely within HubSpot’s ecosystem.
3. Embed HubSpot forms
Squarespace Basic does allow some embed blocks. HubSpot form embeds can capture submission data and tie it to contacts in your CRM, even without the full tracking script running on the site.
Also, tagging in a few community experts who may have additional insights or have tackled this before:
@franksteiner79 @Jonas_De_Mets @RubenBurdin anyone have experience getting HubSpot tracking working on Squarespace Basic, or other creative workarounds here?
Thank you in advance!
