I don’t want to be rude but it is quite annoying to go over 3 or 4 programs and then notice there are some practical exercises I am not able to even access.
If I remember correctly from reading the FAQ it stated that you don’t need any type of special account to finish the certifications. It’s disappointing since I really wanted to go through all of your material but this was really a huge turn-off, especially since I know the tasks were solvable.
It’s a little puzzling how someone would go from the awareness stage to actually using the paid Hubspot tool if there is a restriction in even using it at a minimal dumbed down 1 task version in order to gain a small token of appreciation after taking time to go through some videos. The Hubspot videos could be stripped down entirely if they actually don’t have any type of goal for someone who uses a free account.
End of rant.
PS: someone had the same problem and gave a 1-star review on Facebook, which to my surprise at that time, didn’t seem to be addressed at all in 7 months.
Thanks for sharing your feedback on the certifications. We have heard a few other people bring up this issue of access for practical exercises. We are working on making both the product and the messaging more clear.
Which certifications are you referencing? This can help us target where we can make updates to the messaging.
I was initially referring to the Hubspot Marketing Software course. I’ve noticed today when taking the Contextual Marketing exam that getting a certification for it was also not possible with a free account. This came as a surprise since it had only 2 practical exercises, and probably anyone who went through it could finish them successfully.
One more certificate I’ve seen that seems to be limited to Basic plans is the HubSpot design one. To be honest, the good part with it is that if you go to the practical exercise, you receive the following message (this didn’t happen for the Hubspot mk software or contextual marketing one):
