What's api to update CRM object?

Using below api I can create a new object instance but not sure how to update. Tried using PUT/PATCH but that doesn’t work.

You will use patch. This is from the docs

PATCH/crm/v3/objects/{objectType}/{objectId}

Or, assuming that p99688696 is the object type id and car is the object a more drawn out example would be
