Hello Community I need your help.
I created a form and added hidden UTM fields.
The form is embeded in external lending page platform I’m using.
I tested it and I can see the UTM parameters in the ‘Last Page Seen’ property. But these parameters are not populated in the UTM properties, and the original source stays as “Direct Traffic”. (wrong value).
Does anyone have an idea how I solve this issue?
See the attached screenshots.
Thank you!
Hi @Aaskarovo,
utm_source=paid is not something that’s specified in the bucketing rules: Understand HubSpot's traffic sources in the web traffic analysis tool
You would have to adjust your parameters to match the rules in the linked article
Best regards
Hi @karstenkoehler ,
Thank you for this info.
I updated this, but I still don’t see the UTM parameters populated.
Do you have any idea what can be the reason for that?
Thank you
@Aaskarovo could you please provide a bit more detail? Which parameters exactly did you use? How did you test, with a new email address? Which field are you expecting to update and what should it show?
Hi @Aaskarovo -
Original source is not marked as paid because first page seen dosen’t contains any utm source value in it. If the lead is directly coming up on the utm link via paid promotions like linkedin ads or google ads then the original source will me marked as paid.
And the reason why utm values are not getting populated in the fields please check the internal name of the utm fields which you are using in the form. The internal name of the fields you are using in the form and in the liink should be the same then they will populate please let me know if that helps!
