Hello everyone,
I need some clarification for the following case, please:
Our website has 9 different languages (subpages), which means when we publish a new “Blog” we have to translate it for all other languages as well.
Here is my example:
I create a new blog, the post language is English. URL is called “business-run-2023”
After it´s published in English, I will go and create a multi-language variation in German. Do I keep the same URL name or can I translate it in German?
I am asking because a few months ago when I did the same and created a multi-language variation in Japanese and changed the URL in Japanese - the entire “News Area” on our Website was messed up. What happened was, we had on the Japanese Page under “News Area” not only Japanese text but also German, English, France,…
After talking to an external IT company, they told me I must keep always the same URL and should not translate it, because that would cause a mess on the website.
Is my example clear enough if not I can probably describe it better by sharing our website with you.
Thank you.
