Currently, HubSpot does not support setting or updating a contact’s profile image (avatar) through automation or workflows. Profile images are pulled automatically from Gravatar based on a contact’s email address, or must be set manually by a user.
This is limiting in modern use cases where images are collected via HubSpot forms, file uploads, or external systems (e.g. LinkedIn profile syncs, ID verification, virtual events, etc.).
Proposed Solution:- Enable workflows (and/or API) to set or update a contact’s profile image by:
- Uploading an image through a form or external source
-Storing the image URL or file in a property
-Mapping that image to the contact’s profile photo automatically
Use Cases:
- A new lead uploads their headshot through a form — it’s instantly shown in the CRM record
- A salesperson updates a contact’s image with their LinkedIn profile picture via automation
- Customer success teams view personalised contact photos without needing manual updates
- Event registration forms include profile photos that feed directly into the contact record
