Typing Indicator Ends Before External Endpoint Response in Chatflows

Problem

When using HubSpot Chatflows with an external endpoint, we see a UX timing issue:

  • The typing indicator appears and disappears, then
  • There is a noticeable delay before the response message is rendered.
  • During this gap, no loading or feedback is shown.

This only happens when the external endpoint response takes longer.
If the response is fast or no external call is made, the issue does not occur.

Expected Behavior

We would prefer one of the following:

  • Keep the typing indicator visible until the response is rendered
  • Allow disabling the typing indicator and using another loading mechanism
