Typeform/Hubspot Integration with Data Consent

We are implementing Hubspots newer feature with making sure contacts are subscribed when they fill out a lead form. The problem we are having is that our forms are made with typeform and integrated into hubspot. Is there a way to link the data consent with typeform? We can go and update the form in hubspot itself and add it in there, but when you go to the form link, the update is not on there. We would like to use the typeform for these specific forms because it is a lot of information that would be overwhelming on a landing page.

Hi @CPetter,

I don’t have access to a Typeform integration right now – have you checked whether you’re able to, in the mapping step, to map a question to the “Legal basis for processing contact’s data” property?

If not, and if you have access to workflows, the typical workaround would be to simply set up a short workflow that picks up all contacts that submitted those Typeforms. You would make sure that the necessary consent text is included as text on the Typeform, then use the ‘Edit record’ workflow action to update the ‘Legal basis for processing contact’s data’ field. Let me know if you need more details to create this workflow.

Best regards!

This was helpful. And that worked. My other question is for subscriptions if a client comes in without being subscribed to a specific subscription, are they auto opted into all communication? Until they opt out?
And if they come in and subscribe to lets say just two of them, are they then just opted out of the rest?

@CPetter unless you set up a workflow to opt contacts in, no, their subscription status will be neutral (neither opted in, nor opted out). If they opt into one subscription, they’re not automatically opted out of the rest. The rest stay neutral (‘not opted’, not to be confused with ‘opted out’).
