I am super interested in harvesting some guidance on data collection. For my organization we created a custom pipeline comprised of multiple stages. When we move a deal from one stage to another it gets a time stamp. I’d like to be able to create a dashboard that displays the time each deal remained in each stage so I can identify which stage(s) deals are lingering in so our team can work to improve and decrease time in each stage. I’d like this data not only for each stage for a deal but to be able to generate this for each team member to see where each team member may be getting “stuck” so we can create process imorivements.
Thank you for all help! I am willing to pay for classes so I can be show how to do this, as well as other metrics that can be generated and displayed in an easy to view dashboard style.
Thank you very kindly Shubham for taking the time to answer and provide the screenshots! This has helped quite a bit.
I attached a screen shot of me trying to replicate what you instructed but as you can see there is no data available. I selected the correct pipeline that I am interested in evaluating, hopefully you can see all of the paramters I selected. Any advice here?
Hello @dblhelx , have you checked out Kluster? They have some really great analytics, including stage tenancy reporting and insights based off of this sort of thing - HubSpot Marketplace
If you’re aggressively promoting a product, maybe don’t make it sound like they’re a third party. You’ve shared similar posts today and it doesn’t feel like it’s an independent genuine recommendation.
One option here would be the “Time spent in deal stage summary” under Menu > Reports > Analytics > Sales Analytics. This is a great out-of-the-box report, however, it’s only calculating the time spent in a deal stage once the deal has closed. If you want this information for not closed deals as well, this won’t work.
If your report is not showing this information, I’d recommend playing around with the filters in the right sidebar, they can be a bit finicky. Have you selected the correct pipeline? The great thing about this report is that it’s broken down by team member by default.
Another option would be creating your own custom report under Menu > Reports > Reports > Create report > Deals. In the Data tab, you’ll find “Time in Stage” properties which are calculated once a contact has moved through both stages used in the calculation. You can create a table view visualization and break it down by Deal owner.
Make sure that the Filters (top left) are set to the correct Create date range. Then Hide Filters and add the Time in Stage properties to the Data sidebar. In the Visualization tab, choose the vertical or horizontal bar chart option and drag and drop Deal owner into the Displaying area, then the Time in Stage measures, selecting Average instead of Total. Let me know if you need more assistance here.
If you want even more flexibility, I laid out a workaround here. This is not the best option anymore but I wanted to mention it anyway.
