Hi team!
I was working on setting a hubspot enrollment criteria where in say suppose to enroll in contacts only if they have performed a custom behavioral event A in the past 14 days.
I am wondering can such a filter criteria be set ?
Also is it possible in Hubspot workflows to filter out contacts based on events which they have performed in the past? For example, lets say I want to create a workflow where in my contact have not performed custom behavioral event A in all their past lifetime as a contact?
@CDP2023 - This is absolutely possible, this article should help you out here: Set your workflow enrollment triggers
@CDP2023 Hi there ![]()
My name is Olivia and I am happy to help you here! What you are hoping to do is absolutely possible. I will break it down into steps below:
Question 1
Build a contat based workflow and choose ‘When filter criteria is met’ for the tye of trigger. Next choose ‘Behavioral events (legacy)’ and chose the event you want to look at. Next chose ‘contact has completed’ and clicl on ‘refine this filter’. Next chose ‘Date’ and set it up as shown below.
Question 2
Yes this is possible by using a combination of lists and workflows.
1) Create and save a list of contacts that HAVE complated the behavioral event in question
2) Use a workflow enrollment filter of ‘list membership’ and chose ‘Contact IS NOT a member of list created in step 1’.
This will give you contacts who have not completed the event.

I do hope these explanations help. If you need help with anything else please feel free to reply to me here to drop me a private message.

- Hi @Olivia_Bagnall ! Thanks for these suggestions.
On the first suggestion, you mentioned Behavioral Events (Legacy), however in Legacy events we cannot create our custom properties for the event which is why we need custom behavioral events. - Further custom behavioral events are not seen under Adding Filter options. Is there a workaround regarding this?
- As for the second suggestion, I will definetly try it out, thanks.

@CDP2023 Ah yes you are right sorry, we need to stsay away from the legacy option.
So here are the correct steps:
1) Select the enrollment trigger of ‘Trigger when an event occours’.
2) Select custom behavior events
3) Chose the event in question.
4) Add another trigger in the same group and chose the ‘occoured at’ option in the event properties. You can set the ‘is less than 14 days ago’ option there.
Hope this helps!
Hey @Olivia_Bagnall ! Thanks a lot for the help. I had no idea that such an option existed.
