Hi! I’ve recently been testing the new theme concept, and while it is a big improvement from the previous methods of creating a website, there are some areas of improvements i would like to suggest!
Firstly, I’d like the ability to specify if a template is available to either landingpages, webpages or both (by omission). I recon this could be possible in the same area as you name your template (top of the html file). In detail, I usually create very different templates based on the purpose of the template, and as I’m only a developer and not an editor, it is a constant struggle for me to have to either name a template “LANDINGPAGE - <name>” or repeat instructions to my customers or editors repeatedly. What I’m suggesting would mean that when I’ve selected “create landingpage”, I’m only being presented with templates that have been tagged with landingpage, or have no tags at all. It would be a cleaner process of creating web pages, and remove some friction we’ve had in the past.
I’d also like to be able to create multiple template types. I see you’ve already produced so many different template types but what I’d like to do is split Page into multiple different types. You see, I’m used to working with Umbraco CMS alongside HubSpot, and there are some modules we create with the intention to only be used on certain page types. I could see massive benefit in introducing this to HubSpot as well, and though I’m sure you’ve already discussed this, and perhaps even declined it, I feel much more at ease knowing it has at least been pitched!
