When someone is already in your database with a lead source and you meet them at an event later and now the relationship has reignited, where in Hubspot do you capture that the event has generated new interest without overwriting the original lead source?
Hi @SOblak ,
To capture that an event has generated new interest from an existing contact in HubSpot without overwriting the original lead source, you can use custom properties:
1. Set up custom properties in HubSpot to track specific details related to the event like: HubSpot Inboud 2024.
2. Log notes or activities detailing the event interaction, such as meeting details, discussions, or follow-up actions.
3. Segment contacts based on event interactions.
Ensure that the original lead source information remains intact in HubSpot.
You can also set up a Set up workflows or automation rules to trigger actions based on event interactions and create reports based on the new custom properties.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
We leverage HubSpot’s Marketing Events object for this, now that you can import offline event lists and update attendance information. By using Marketing Events, you can not only see their registration/attendance information in the activity timeline, but it can also be used in attribution reporting.
