Hi - how can I easily stagger marketing email sends to be sent out to a single list in batches over several hours? For example, marketing email sends to 100 people from a list each hour…

I can see that someone asked a similar question around 5 years ago, but hoping the functionality has improved since then?

Hi @alexagatiss,

No, there isn’t any specific feature for this. You’d have to break your recipient list in smaller chunks and schedule multiple emails.

This random sample feature can make that easier but it’s still a chore, yes: Create a random sample from a segment

Hi @karstenkoehler, thanks for getting back to me. What a bummer there isn’t a feature for this currently. Thanks for sending the sample feature, I am guessing the random sample feature could potentially double up contacts since it is taking a random sample, so may not be best for my purposes, but could be helpful for another project.

Hi @alexagatiss, I know it’s been around 6 months since you initially asked this question, but Marketing Hub Enterprise has a feature now that allows you to randomly split your list into smaller lists: Split a segment

Let’s say you have a list of 1,000 contacts, and you want to send out your email to 100 contacts at a time. You can use this feature to split your list into 10 smaller lists (it’s slightly different from the feature that Karsten suggested in his previous message). You can then proceed to send out your email to these smaller lists at an interval that works for you. Hope this helps.

This is a workaround however, it is still soo time consuming and makes the QA process even longer. It would be great if Hubspot had a button you could tick so we know emails were sporadically sent between a certain time period.

Hello,

I would like to see this feature added to HubSpot as many other platforms include this as a setting to “Throttle” your email send. I have a client who is experiencing a high level of soft bounces because their audience is all in the same state and includes many individiuals at the same organizations (examples: hospitals, public health departments, schools). Hoping that HubSpot will add this as it seems like a pretty basic feature in other platforms. Thanks!

Agree, this feature would be SO helpful. We have to do so much manual work in order to spread out our sends. A platform like Hubspot should have this basic featuure
