I create reports for the admin team at a seasonal outdoor program and we want to track how our course enrollment is progressing as we approach our season start date.
It would be great to be able to sort our courses by start date rather than alphabetically. One solution woudl be to add a sort field for a bar chart other than the data field on the x axis. My current chart of attendance by course is sorted alphabetically by course code, but it would be really useful to sort by date.
The value this would bring is to be able to have more visual context for the data we’re seeing. For example, a course with low enrollment at the end of the season is less of an issue than low enrollment at the beginning of the season. It would help us focus our marketing and sales efforts. As it stands now, we have to cross-reference the course codes with their start dates or use a different reporting platform and we can’t see trends by date.
