Social Media Course- do I need HubSpot program

I’m looking into taking the Social Media Certification course but I do not have the actual HubSpot program. Do I need to have it in order to pass the certification? If so, is there a free trial I could use?

Completing the certification does require access to the tools within HubSpot associated with the certification.
