Setting up a 2nd Pipeline

I have spent a while watching YouTube Videos today on how to create a sales pipeline. They are not actually showing me how to setup a 2nd pipline. Currently we have:

  • Sales Pipeline
  • Ecommerce

I would like to set up (if possible) a separate Sales Pipeline for existing customers whose purchases are coming to an end of there warranty lifecycle, they need replacing. I really dont want them to get mixed up in the original sales pipeline (which I didnt create) because the amount of data the Sales Team will see will be overwhelming. I suspect I cant not having Enterprise yet

I have about 1300 deals to “create” which will detail the machine & when it is due for renewal. Link to the customer and assign to the Sales person.

Unfortunately our test period with Enterprise has ended so am struggling a little. I cannot add the Product Group to Product Type as that is locked out, in the Product Library.

  • Am I best to simply create deals in the normal way and create a new view & filter for “Renewals” using the existing Sales Pipeline, make it available to everyone.
  • Assign them to me in the interim so no one can see them until I have the process right?
  • Create a field to allow me to select product groups, and enable me to create

As we are still on FREE and I still after weeks, do not have the Enterprise Licence, having to make do with what I have

Hi @JGray30

If you are having to make do with free features until an enterprise(?) upgrade is approved, then yes, you’re right to think about creating workarounds to achieve your goal.

As you’ve indicated, you’re not going to be able to create an actual renewals pipeline on the free CRM, so you are going to have to have the deals in the main pipeline and distinguish somehow.

There are lots of potential ways to do this. I’d probably recommend, as a basis, to have something simple and explicit like a ‘Deal type’ property with values like ‘New business’ and ‘Renewal’ so that you can easily filter views and reports based on this.

Hope this helps?
