Property access permissions are quite granular for properties in regards to users and teams. However, there is no way to control how properties are used. This is a challenge for enterprise clients that require very specific compliance.
For example, credit unions and banks must adhere to fair lending laws. Becaouse of this, many of these organizations implement policies that prevent the usage of certain data to be used for marketing segmentation. However, that data is still useful and important for CRM usage and as reporting deminsions.
If properties could be configured to only be used in specific tools within HubSpot, then those fair lending policies could be operationalized and give greater confidence to financial institutions looking to implement HubSpot or expand their platform use cases.
There is at least one precendence of this type of property-level tool access: sensitive and highly sensitive proeprties. If that tool provisioning could be expanded to all property configuration, then we could offer this more enterprise capability.
