Sequences with multiple tasks

Hello my people.

how are you today? This is my first post here. Hope you help me.

So, I search this communtiy for posts that help me, but I couldn’t find any solutions. I found the same problem :X

I realized that it is not possible to create a sequence with more than one task in the same day.

My question is: Do you know if there is another program integrated with Hub that I can organize such a sequence? Because, as many of us (SDRs) here, we like to call and send e-mail in the same day.

I would like to organize a sequence as: 2 calls (1st day) / 1 call and e-mail (2nd day)…

As a palliative measure, as my main activity is calling, I thougt of creating a sequence with only the calling tasks. And when I call in the morning instead of ending the task, I would just postponed them.

What do you guys think?

Thanks :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi @Acmaziero,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I wanted to tag in a couple of subject matter experts to see if they have any input on this matter:

hi @smoore, @StjepanGrcic, @Olivia_Bagnall, do you have any advice for @Acmaziero? Thank you!

Cheers

@Acmaziero Happy to help here!
I feel your frustration with this limitation. There are many instances in whiwh you may want an email and task to go out on the same day. Unfortunately this is a limitation of HubSpot sequences that has not be resolved yet. I get past this, I actually break sequences up into sections. So section 1 would be a couple of emails and then you would enroll them in Section 2 when it’s finished and this could then create a task on the same day as the email is sent. It’s an incredibly imperfect solution.
The other thing you could think of is using a workflow to create the task instead of the sequence. The workflow could trigger when the contact receives an email with a particular subject line for example. So when sequence emails with subject line X is sent then immediately create task Y.
You also have very granular sequence filters in lists so if you want to get even more detailed I would add the criteria to a list first and then use the list membership for the workflow enrollment.
I hope this helps!

This is a feature that should absolutely be part of a sequence - most SDR’s want to call and email in the same motion.
