This seems to be a simple requirement but i can’t find any functionality in Hubspot to addressed this.
Requirement:
A Deal-Based workflow which is triggered using a specific deal stage. The workflow will then send an email to a custom Contact List.
There is no option to select a list when sending an email in the workflow. Currently, Hubspot will only send the email to the associated contact of the company that is enrolled in the workflow.t

Workflows only look at the enrolled records or records associated to it. It’s not possible to trigger an email send to a list for a workflow.
Who exactly is on that list? You would have to redesign your workflow or process so that the intended recipients are in some way associated to the enrolled record.

+1 on @karstenkoehler’s point. Who would be on the custom contact list and why - meaning what is a contact’s criteria for being on the custom list.
You are able to further refine the initial enrolment trigger, e.g. deal stage is X and associated contact of the deal meets criteria X, Y, Z - as long as those criteria are always the same.

Use case would be, a workflow would trigger if a certain Company property is updated (This Company has type Supplier). It will then send an email to List of Contacts (These contacts has a company type Customers)

Thanks for the added piece of information. I’m still not clear whether these contacts are associated to the company or not. Could you clarify?

In that case, you should be able to email all contacts associated to a company using the “Send email” workflow action:
You would enroll the company into the company-based workflow based on your deal-stage changes - again assuming that the company is associated to the deal.

but i only need to send it to contacts with company type customer…take note the triggered enrolled contact has a company type supplier
@RNones I was under the impression you’re using association labels to denote this type. If not, using association labels is the recommended way to go about this: Create and use association labels
If you review my previous screenshot, you can see that the workflow action lets you choose an association label.
i did use association labels.. i created association labels for customers… but since the enrolled contact company type is Supplier, it would not send it contacts with association label Customers since the enrolled company / contact is type Supplier…

I’m not sure I’m following. You’re enrolling companies with type supplier. You want contacts associated with company of the type customer to receive an email.
Are the contacts associated to the customer company also associated to the the supplier company? Are the companies associated? Could you visualize this?
@RNones this is not showing the associations - or am I missing something?

Contact B associated with Company B
I created an Association Label Customers for Company → Contact and tagged Contact B with association label Customer
In the workflow,
The trigger is Company Type = Supplier and Notify = Yes
The Action, should send an email to Contacts with Type Customer
This is were the issue, since the enrolled contact is Type Supplier and i want the email to be sent to Contacts with Type customer
@RNones then unless I’m missing something, there isn’t any association between A and B. In that case, what you’re trying to do is not possible. You would have to set up an association and label before any kind of automation between supplier/customer becomes possible.
