Today, we can only send communication (email marketing) to either contacts or companies, however, I have some use cases that I need to create a custom object called channel partners that CAN be neither contact nor a company by definition. And by having the possibility of sending marketing messages to custom object records would give us a lot of flexibility.
We too have setup a custom object for our business usecase. However, we don’t have an option to send automated emails on the custom object. Kindly suggest if this functionality is already available? And if not, we would really like to have this funnctionality.

+1 this functionality has a huge potential. In our case, we gather bids from potential buyers and we want to send them automated communication in case the sellers approve or reject the bid.

We need this as we have separate customer segmentations that we need to separate from other buckets and need to send email communication to.

We develop and sale our own SaaS Software. Being able to separate Marketing/commercial contacts (contact object) to User contact (custom object) is essential for us. But we have to be able to send personalized communications to them.
Until now, we must use another emailing provider to send those communications…
