Has anyone done this?
I’d like to send a report to people who ‘reply’ to an email (not click).
And ideally, I’d like them to reply with a specific word in order to get the report (this is a nice to have, not a need to have).
Is this easily possible with HubSpot? If not, is there a smooth work around?
Hi @rojono1,
Yes, this is possible, after setting up your sending address like explained here: Track replies to marketing emails sent to a connected inbox
You can then enroll contacts into a workflow based on this reply:
It’s however not possible to directly filter for the content of that exact reply, at least not that I’m aware of.
Alternatively, you should be able to filter any incoming logged email via an activity filter (Subject), see below:
This would also require the sending / reply-to address of the marketing email inbox to be connected as a conversations inbox.
I haven’t tested this in this exact configuration so I recommend you do before unleashing it on actual contacts: connect the sending email address as inbox (see link above), send a test marketing email, reply to it, check if the contact enrolls correctly in a workflow filtering for activities with that subject line.
Best regards!
