Searching on postcodes

I see that you can now choose up to 5 properties of an object to be globally searchable. This is great, but one of the main ones we search on (to quick find a customer) is their postcode. That’s explicitly marked as not searchable - why is this and how can we get round it?

The only thing I can think of is to create a “Helper field” which mirrors the postcode and is searchable but that seems a long way round what should be a built-in ability.

Hi @JMcCurrach,

As the description says, “Properties provided by HubSpot are not available in global search”. For workarounds, you could create a custom property, copy all information into the new custom property, make the custom property searchable.

In addition to that, you could submit a request to the product team here: HubSpot Ideas - HubSpot Community

Best regards!
