It would be great to be able to scroll through contact records - like a next and previous button - rather than having to click in to a record and then back out to the contact list for the next one. I carry out database admin for new records created (e.g. updating custom fields we’ve created) and it’d great to be able to move on to the next record with one click.
I would also like to see a scroll feature like the one mentioned above by jaynescarman. I am sending out Christmas Cards and it would save me so much time to hit a “next” button and go directly to the next contact.
As it is now, I have not found a way other than having to go out and back to my list of contacts. It’s only 2 steps but they are manual steps and there is a chance that I will skip a contact.

Yes, thi is a must have! I need to scroll through my hot contacts instead having to jump back and forth.
Hi… just started using Hubspot… i really like it but not having this functionality is peculiar as is so basic… makes it unnecessarily clunky…

Commenting to hopefully restart this conversation. This would be massively helpful. Our sales activity is down since implementing hubspot because of how inefficient the current user experience is. Scrolling from one profile to the next in a list is a fairly basic CRM function. Please consider adding this feature to the roadmap.
I really also want to be able to step/scroll directly through records in the Contact view rather than having to back out to main page and select another record.

I’ve used a few different CRM software programs over the years. I have tested out several more over the years.
To the extent of my knowledge, this is the only one that doesn’t do this. I see that people have been asking for this for 5 years, or more, and I wanted to chime in that it’s quite frustrating. I want to review with one of my team members what progress they are making with each of the leads to discuss and want to use the most recent leads. My options are to export everything in a specific time period and sort through that, or go into one lead and then back out, then remove the checkbox next to lead owner which it changes by default to something else, then find the next lead. The idea is for the software to help us be efficient, not to slow us down. If I could scroll through the leads, the talk that I would have with my team would be well under 15 minutes. Yet, since I have to go through these extra steps, it is going to take well over half an hour. So, I officially vote strongly that this get implemented.
Hopefully this recommendation can get some more eyes on it. I agree with everyone else – the interface should help us be more efficient, not slow us down. Yes, for some objects we can work from the index page and preview panel, but that often isn’t enough context to fully work the record. Having to go back to the index to find and open the next one on the list is excessive. Previous/next record buttons would be ideal for all objects that open into full record views.
It’s great that you’re bringing this to HubSpot’s attention. It’s something I deal with every day, and it’s incredibly frustrating not to be able to navigate forward or backward through the individual contact views. I really hope HubSpot pays attention to this request.
Totally agree with this! If you’re doing bulk database admin especially updating custom fields on new records, going back to the list every single time kills the workflow.
A simple Next / Previous button on the contact record view would be a game changer. Salesforce has had this for years, so it’s definitely doable.
One workaround I’ve been using in the meantime: open records in new tabs from the list view, at least you keep your place in the list. Not perfect, but saves some clicks.
