Required Notification Settings

Super Admins need the ability to lock/require certain notification settings. Allowing the users to customize everything within notification settings can cause breakdowns in processes.

For example, we are creating a task AND sending email notifications to the contact owner when certain activities occur that require follow up. If the contact owner isn’t allowing email notifications for that type of activity (i.e. form submissions), they don’t receive the notification.

For field sales reps, this is a problem because they may not be using HubSpot for a few days while traveling and by the time they see the task, a “hot” follow up may have become cold.

Agree. I know we can use Presets - the issue is that users may have set their own preferences on things that aren’t strictly required. We don’t want to override their preferences that aren’t critical from our standpoint, but DO want to be able to force on some options.
eg: notifications when mentioned on records, approvals, workflow notifications etc.

It’s incredibly frustrating to have workflows fail because a user has turned this off (as they don’t understand the impact).
