Reporting on Campaigns

I’m curious if I’m missing something obvious (very likely!) or if there isn’t really an option to do what I want to do. I simply want a report where I can view campaign data including attributed revenue, and deals. I can only find ways to see Sessions, New Contacts and Influenced Contacts.

I tried making something custom, but I either got confused and wasn’t able to find the answer (I am still learning the Custom Report Builder tool!), or it’s not possible in there. I vote the former is true, but not sure!

I see you can’t edit the columns in the Campaign view to show this information. Currently I am going into each campaign individually and viewing this data, then putting it in an Excel spreadsheet manually.

Isn’t there an easier way to view this data? We have Marketing Hub right now, and just added Sales Hub, but haven’t onboarded yet. We don’t have Ops or Service yet, so wondering if that will open more reporting doors for us down the line? I tried to also add a column property but it says “Revenue” already exists but isn’t an option when I try to add it to the column view when reviewing campaigns.

Also, I know the attributed revenue isn’t very clear about what percentage is being given to us and how the percentage is determined, but for my purposes, we’re just wanting to track this anyways.

I hope that all makes sense! Thanks for any guidence, and don’t be afraid to tell me I’m missing something blatantly obvious!

There are some alternatives to don’t forget:

1. The Campaigns document in HubSpot does not include sales or deal information by default. You would want to use the Custom Reporting tool to build a custom record to view these facts.
2. In the Custom Report builder, you could add the “Revenue” and “Number of deals” residences to a marketing campaign file. This will display the full sales and offers attributed to every campaign.
3. The Marketing Contacts and Companies reports can display sales and deals with the aid of marketing campaign channels. So you may see the revenue delivered via Email vs Social campaigns as an instance.
Having the Sales Hub will help provide more sales and deal facts to work with in reporting. The Service Hub likely won’t affect campaign reporting.
4. Make certain your deal ranges are mapped properly to the default HubSpot degrees so revenue is tracked correctly.
5. Consider adding marketing campaign parameters to form submissions to improve campaign attribution.
So in summary, the custom reporting tool is probably your pleasant option to construct a file to view attributed sales and deals across multiple campaigns.
Let me know if any of that is uncertain!

Thanks for all the info! I will really focus in on the custom reports and get something created that works for us.

Hi Madhur,

Could you explain step 3 in more detail? I do not see a way to add “Marketing Campaign Properties” (which is where all campaign names and details properties) are as a data source in the custom report builder.

We want to see individual campaign details and the deals/revenue tied to each, not jus the email vs social view.

Thanks
