I am having a torrid time getting what I need from HubSpot reports. I am on the Marketing Starter as I don’t have the budget and only take in ~25 contacts a month.
I had prepared a process for my small (2 active users) and comb through the contact data with the limitations of the system. Now after over two months of using HubSpot, finally I start to look into the reporting feature. From the outset, the current Report Library provides basic needs, but does not allow me to do simple filter based on contact property, etc.
Then I see there is a Report Builder, but only for the Pro subscriptions. Ability to look at our data and pivot that data around is a basic need, not something that we have to pay more for.
For example I want to see the Marketing dashboard quickly with the number of contacts created in a day filtered to exclude certain lifecycle of the contact, I can’t do so under my basic level.
My volume is not high, I get at most about 5 actual new contacts a week, and the data gets muddled when HubSpot picks up contacts from the FB and my emails going out to existing customers. I do “treat” the data when HubSpot picks up a new contact, but without a means to do custom filtering within the Contacts own dataset, my dashboard reports are currently useless.
My current workaround is to extract all the data onto a spreadsheet and do the pivot tables myself. I mean, this could have been so much easier, and less friction to rely on HubSpot for quick analytics.
